The product can be applied over the Transogard priming system. For maximum temperature resistance, Transolac Aluminium HR should be applied directly to the steel substrate.

Applications
Transolac Aluminium HR is suitable for interior and exterior coating applications on steel substrates where heat resistance up to 200°C is required.
Surface Preparation
Steel surfaces should be clean, dry and free from contamination. For blast-cleaned steel, the recommended surface preparation is Sa 2½ according to ISO 8501-1:2007, with a surface profile between 40 and 70 µm.
Application Methods
Transolac Aluminium HR can be applied by airless spray, airspray, brush, or roller.
Mixing and Thinning
Transolac Aluminium HR is a one-pack coating and should be thoroughly mixed with a clean mechanical mixer before application.
The recommended thinner is Transocean Alkyd Thinner 6.00. Thinning is not advised for airless spray, while 0–5% thinner may be used for airspray, brush, and roller application when required.
Curing Times
At 23°C, the product is touch dry in approximately 2 hours and dry to handle in approximately 1 day. Drying times may vary depending on film thickness, temperature, ventilation, humidity, and the preceding paint system.
Storage and Handling
Store the product in a dry, cool and well-ventilated area away from heat and ignition sources. Keep containers tightly closed and in their original packaging until required for use.
